About

The Fraternal Oder of Eagles is an international fraternal organization that was founded on February 6, 1898 in Seattle, Washington by a group of six theater owners. It was initially composed of those who worked within the performing arts. As the organization grew, they began to seek out positive changes to make in society. They are considered to be the driving force behind Social Security and Mother's Day. The Fraternal order of the Eagles is an international charitable non-profit organization uniting fraternally in the spirt of liberty, truth, justice, and equality, to make human life more desirable by lessening its ills and promoting peace, prosperity, gladness and hope. The FOE donates more than 10 million a year to local communities, fundraisers, charities and more. As part of its philosophy, the F.O.E. gives back 100 percent of money raised in the form of grants. Fundraisers are conducted for eight major charities, including Kidney, Heart, Diabetes, Cancer and Spinal Cord Injury funds, a Childrens Fund, Memorial Foundation and Golden Eagle Fund
