MECHANIC / FLEET MAINTENANCE Company: North Central Service Department: Fleet Repair Shop Location: Bemidji, MN Job Type: Full Time Year Round JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for safely keeping an underground utility construction company's trailers and equipment operating and maintained properly. Help with miscellaneous shop and yard maintenance duties is needed. This is a non-union, full time, year round position that is based in Bemidji. Very little, if any, travel is required if the need arises. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 1 year of on the job general mechanic experience required Mechanical experience - Electric brakes, light welding, tire changes, basic electrical diagnostics and repairs. Must be able to lift and safely move heavy objects such as parts, wheels, hubs & drums. Must be able to get a DOT medical card and have an acceptable driving record. Must be or willing to become a Certified Minnesota Mandatory Inspection Program (MIP) Inspector. PAY AND BENEFITS Competitive pay is based on experience and qualifications. 401k with company matching up to 4% after 1 year of employment.
