BEMIDJI AREA SCHOOLS Applications are being accepted for: SPECIAL EDUCATION PARA- PROFESSIONALS - Early Childhood These are job level 4 (S19.15-$19.52/hour), school term, variable hours per day positions that assist in the instruction of students. Positions are at the Paul Bunyan Center; (1) 6.5 hours/day (7:45 a.m. - 2:45 p.m, with a half hour duty free lunch) and (1) 21 hoursweek; Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (with a half hour duty free lunch) and Tuesday 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. To qualify, applicants must have two years of study at an institution of higher education (AA, AS, 60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits) or a minimum score of 460 on the ParaPro Assessment. HALL AND GROUNDS MONITOR This is a school term, job level 1 ($17.10-S17.48/ hour), 7.5 hours per day (8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m, with an hour duty free lunch) position at Bemidji High School. The person employed will supervise the halls and grounds before, during and after school. SECRETARY TO THE HIGH SCHOOL ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL This is a school term, job level 3 ($18.37-$18.76), 8.0 hours/day (7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. with a half hour duty free lunch) position. The major job functions include: communicating with parents/guardians, students and staff; maintaining student records; and providing secretarial support to the principal. SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER - HIGH SCHOOL ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION PROGRAMS Applications are being accepted for 1 full time position. Applicants must be licensed by the Minnesota PELSB as a School Social Worker. BASED / BOUND TEACHER Applications are being accepted for 1 full time position. Applicants must be licensed as a teacher. The purpose of homebased / homebound instruction is to provide short-term alternative educational services to students who are unable to attend their regular in-school classes by keeping them on schedule so they can make a smooth transition back into their classes and the curriculum when they retum to school.
