BEMIDJI AREA SCHOOLS vor pea Applications are being accepted for: ELEMENTARY EDUCATION - TITLE I TEACHER This is a full time position at J.W. Smith beginning immediately - June 6, 2022. Applicants must be licensed by the Minnesota PELSB to teach grades K-6 Elementary Education. FOOD SERVICE WORKER I These are school term, job level 1 ($17.10hour), approximately 7 hours per day, positions. A Food Service Worker I assists in food preparation, is responsible for the customer computerized meal program, and maintains sanitary conditions. Applicants with computer skills preferred. SPECIAL EDUCATION PARAPROFESSIONALS These are job level 4 ($19.15-S19.52/hour), school term, variable hours per day positions that assist in the instruction of students. Special education paraprofessionals work under the direction of a teacher and a building administrator. They work with one or more students with various types of disabilities who need assistance in academic areas. Other duties may include helping to lift students. assist with physical needs such as toileting, and addressing behavior and/or emotional needs. To quality, applicants must have two years of study at an institution of higher education (AA, AS, 60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits) or a minimum score of 460 on the ParaPro Assessment. CUSTODIANS These are twelve month, Monday-Friday, eight hours per day (3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. with a half hour meal break), job level 2 positions. Positions available are at Gene Dillon Élementary and a District Wide position in which the employee may be assigned day or nightshifts based on staff absences. The hourly wage is $17.56-$18.11 with an additional S.90 per hour shift differential for the days indicated in the Minnesota School Employees Association for Custodians and Maintenance Employees' working agreement. Benefits include hcalth insurance; paid vacation and sick leave; and paid holidays. The major responsibilities of a custodian are to ensure cleanliness, safety, and security of the assigned unit. BUS TECHNICIAN/DIESEL MECHANIC This is a full time position with competitive wages and benefit package; including paid sick leave and vacation, paid holidays and health insurance. The successful applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, a criminal background check, and obtain and maintain a commercial driver's license with a school bus endorsement.
