REHAB SERVICES Like many people around the country, I was able to enjoy the Big Football Game a couple weeks ago. From my perspective, the most important aspect of this game happened before any coin toss or kick-off. Amanda Gorman has skyrocketed into the national spotlight, furthering her legend by being the first poet ever to have this stage. Her story, like her poetry, is inspiring, uplifting, and revealing. The recognition she gave to the selected individuals captured me immediately, and as the proud son of an ICU nurse, I was moved by her acknowledgment of healthcare workers. While there are many people and groups who deserve every bit of thanks they receive, I would like to extend my thanks to a collection of RN's, LPN's, Travel RN's, and CNA'S. Furthermore, thank you to the healthcare workers that were asked to receive further training to perform job duties that were out of their daily practice. I have had the distinct honor of working alongside these healthcare professionals, and they have made a significant impact on my professional and personal life. There has been no shortage of adversity recently, however, I have been able to witness the dedication necessary to serve this community. These individuals work around the clock, placing the care of others before their own needs, making sure each of their patients is receiving the best possible care.
